City & Guilds (3268-18) Certificate in Welding // Level 1
This course is designed for those who are new to welding and fabrication and want to gain knowledge and practical experience. Areas of study include: welding, metal fabrication, thermal cutting, brazing and soldering.

- Brazing and soldering
You will be working in excellent facilities, using industry-standard equipment safely and you’ll be taught by engineers with vast industry experience and close relationships with some of the region’s largest employers.
Two GCSEs at Grade E-F/Grade 2 including maths or Science. Interview with course tutor is also required.
Assessment is by coursework, practical assignments and end examination.
Progression & Careers
The Level 1 Certificate in Welding, Fabrication and Cutting Skills (3268-18) allows you to gain the skills you need to progress to a higher-level engineering course, seek an apprenticeship or simply enjoy working within an engineering environment.
You may be able to progress onto a Level 2 engineering qualification. You will gain expertise on this course that will provide you with the essential components of an engineering career.
