HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (full-time) // Level 4

This course has been designed for those with a specific interest in electrical power engineering and provides an industry relevant, theoretical approach to the subject area. Developed with employers such as Northern Power Grid, this is an intensive course designed to equip you with the latest skills and industry knowledge for related careers in the craft and technical electrical power sector.

Entry requirements

Students should be at least 18 years old and have either a BTEC National Certificate/ Diploma in a relevant subject; or at least one A Level and a minimum of four GCSEs (including Maths and Science) at grade C or above. Applicants without formal qualifications but with appropriate work experience or other qualifications can apply. An interview is required. 

If you have not got your Level 3 maths qualification or had a break in learning and need some extra maths revision you could enrol onto our Level 3 Maths bridging unit starting in July.

Progression & Careers

Progression onto a Foundation Degree or direct access to a number of undergraduate courses such as BEng or post graduate MEng. The College has very good relationships with local and national employers to make sure that your training gets you up-to-date with all the skills employers are looking for and opens up a wide variety of career paths.
