Skills for Enterprise // Entry level
The course for you if ...
You want to grow your independence and take previously learned skills to further develop personal skills, self-confidence and work-ready skills to access the wider adult community.
What will I study?
This course will develop your potential to increase opportunities for personal choice, which in turn develops your understanding of taking responsibility and improving personal effectiveness. You’ll work in teams on a variety of exciting, real activities and events including enterprise tasks such as raising money for charity and making a positive contribution as an active citizen. These activities will develop various skills including: social interaction, customer service, money handling and basic work-ready skills.
All students on the Skills for Enterprise course participate in an introduction to travel skills programme promoting greater access to the wider community.
You don't need formal education requirements to join this course. Places are offered following a successful link/assessment visit or an informal interview with the course leader.
You'll be assessed during classroom activities throughout the programme and through a range of real-life experiences.
On completion, you may be able to progress to other courses within the department or to other adult services.
