Introduction to Hairdressing // Level 1

The course is for you if ...

You are just starting out in hairdressing and want an understanding of the industry – enough to succeed in a job or move on to further study.

You will gain experience across various areas of study, including;

·         Shampooing

·         Women’s hair styling

·         Using colour to create an image

·         Hair plaiting

·         Salon reception 

The course will provide the skills needed to become a competent salon assistant.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements however you will need to attend an informal interview with the course tutor. 

You will also need to demonstrate a keen interest in hairdressing. 

Assessment

Assessment is based on practical demonstrations and written assignments.

Progression & Careers

On completion of the course, you can progress onto the Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing.
