Will Davies has gone from strength to strength in his career at Percy Hedley and he puts it all down to completing an apprenticeship with TyneMet College.

Will is working at Percy Hedley as an autistic support worker and began an Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care to build skills and develop experience. Will said: “I chose to study an apprenticeship with TyneMet because I’d heard such great things about their support and guidance for students, as a ‘mature’ apprentice, I was initially under confident with my study skills but my apprenticeship trainer Donna from TyneMet has been amazing. On both a professional and personal level I am progressing and I have really enjoyed the experience.”

Will added: “I’d recommend an apprenticeship to anyone thinking of advancing in their career and you can study an apprenticeship at any age! I’ve gained excellent skills in a work environment at Percy Hedley and on a day to day basis I am learning whilst applying theory to my working practice. I was recently promoted at Percy Hedley and I’ve also applied for a senior role, I feel confident in my future at Percy Hedley and I am really thankful of TyneMet for helping me get to where I am today.”
