TyneMet Uniformed Services Student Runs Fastest Sports Relief Mile
Students and staff at TyneMet College got onboard with lots of activities to raise money and promote Sports Relief 2012. This year a total of £150 was raised.
Activities included the Sport Relief Mile and a space hopper challenge which involved setting the fastest time to travel 100 metres on a space hopper.
The best time for the Sport Relief Mile was set by Ben Henderson, 17, from Gosforth, studying on the Public Services Extended Diploma Level 3, he ran the mile in 5 minutes and 58 seconds.
