Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation – Level 3

Course Overview

The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (450) are for students who are interested in developing the specific technical and professional skill that will lead to meaningful employment in the electrotechnical industry. As part of the course, you will explore a wide range of industry areas including principles of electrical science, inspection and testing, and electrical system diagnosis.

The entry requirements for this course are a Level 2 in an Electrical based qualification such as Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering as well as maths and English at GCSE minimum grade 4.

The course is assessed with a final exam which takes place just before easter and a Synoptic assessment consisting of a Design Project and practical inspection and testing as well as fault finding.  There is also mandatory employment involvement which is arranged by the college.
