What does this course involve?
This is the course for you if you have skills in Health and Social Care and wish to further these skills to pursue a career in the field.
You will develop further knowledge and understanding of a variety of subjects, including communication; Equality, diversity and rights; and look at Physiological Disorders and their effects.
We require a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths; or a Distinction Grade at BTEC First Diploma; or equivalent with 4 or above in English Language and Maths. You can progress from a Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification and successful functional skills.
Assessment is carried out using a range of methods, which could include: direct observation, reports, assignments, essays, presentations and case studies.
This course is excellent preparation for moving into the sector at support level.
Careers include: care workers and assistants (domiciliary, children, mental health, elderly), Health & Social Care apprenticeships, support workers and health care supervisors.
