CACHE Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care
Level 2

This course is for you if...

you have a passion for caring and want to develop your skills to equip you for a career in Health & Social Care. This Level 2 qualification is mapped against National Occupational Standards for Health and Social Care and acts as a robust and thorough grounding to the industry.

 

 

You will develop your knowledge and understanding across a variety of topics, including: Health and safety, communication skills, safeguarding and equality & diversity.

You will need a minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above (preferably English Language and Maths); or pass at BTEC Level 1 Certificate or equivalent; or progression from a relevant Level 1 qualification along with Level 1 or above in English Language and Maths.

You will also need to provide two confidential references.

One year.

Assessment are carried out using a range of methods, which could include: direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence and written assignments. 

You may be able to progress onto the CACHE Level 3 certificate in Health and Social Care. Careers options include: employment in the Health & Social Care industry working with children, the elderly or in a mental health setting.

For students aged 16-18 who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in Maths or English, these subjects will be included in your timetable along with your main course. Improving your skills in Maths and English is essential, as these qualifications open doors to further study and career opportunities.

Our teaching team will work with you to help you achieve the grades you need, building confidence in these key areas to support your future success.

All 16-18 students must study maths and/or English as part of their main study programme, there is no option to study maths and/or English on its own.
