Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning – Level 2 (September)
This Course is for You If...
You would like to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in primary, secondary and special schools as well as colleges. It covers a wide range of areas including children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour, communication and professional relationships.
You should be at least 16 years old. You will need to be working or volunteering with children and young people, aged 5-19 years in a school or college setting. You will also need to demonstrate an interest in working with children and young people. You will need a DBS check and two confidential references.
It will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
You could progress onto the Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
Careers include: Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Special Educational Needs Assistant.
