You’ll master the essential tools and techniques needed to design a simple, professional-looking website. Learn how to add functionality, navigation buttons, hyperlinks, and interactive elements like hotspots, rollovers, and custom buttons to make your site dynamic and user-friendly.
Start with the basics of planning and designing using a site structure or sitemap to map out your ideas. Using industry-standard tools like Dreamweaver, you’ll bring your vision to life with embedded images, formatted text, breadcrumb trails, and smooth navigation features.
Once your website is built, you’ll take it to the next level by testing its functionality, quality, and usability to ensure it works seamlessly.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, just a passion to succeed and work hard.
This course is ideal for ESOL, SEN and adult learners. It allows you to gain confidence in your academic abilities whilst gaining employability skills alongside the programme.
This course will also benefit adults who are wanting to upskill, pick up a new skill, or are unemployed and looking for a change of career.

You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence gathered in the planning, designing, testing and reviewing your website.
This course is delivered face-to-face. You will study 3 hours per week over 16 weeks.
Following successful completion of the course, you will have the confidence to be able to design your own basic website.
You will be ready to sign up to a part time level 2 award in computer programming qualification.
