Course Overview
Step into the exciting world of event planning with this hands-on course, perfect for those with some experience who are ready to turn their passion into a career or small business. In collaboration with your peers, you’ll plan, organise, and run a live fundraising event, gaining invaluable experience from start to finish.
You’ll learn how to set clear objectives to ensure your event’s success while mastering essential project planning techniques. From resourcing and budgeting to conducting risk assessments and creating contingency plans, you’ll develop the skills needed to navigate every detail of event planning like a pro. Present your proposal to a client, make any necessary adjustments, and watch your ideas come to life!
You’ll collaborate and communicate effectively with your colleagues to meet key objectives and deliver an unforgettable event.
After your event has taken place, you’ll evaluate its success and your personal contribution, identifying opportunities for growth and ways to make future events even better. This is your chance to gain the confidence, skills, and know-how to launch a fulfilling career or start your own event planning venture!
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, just a passion to succeed and work hard.
This course is ideal for ESOL, SEN and adult learners. It allows you to gain confidence in your academic abilities while gaining employability skills alongside the programme.
This course will also benefit adults who are wanting to upskill, pick up a new skill, or are unemployed and looking for a change of career.

You will be assessed through a portfolio of evidence
This course is delivered face-to-face. You will study 3 hours per week over 16 weeks.
This qualification will provide some underpinning knowledge and practical skills that will support progression to a relevant business qualification such as the level 2 extended certificate in business, or a level 2 customer service practitioner apprenticeship. This can be used to aid small business owners in developing their event management business.
