Introduction to Beauty Therapy (Award)
Level 1

This course is for is you if...

You are looking to start your career as a hairdresser or beauty therapist, the level 1 award in introduction to the hair & beauty sector will set you on the right path for progression onto the Level 1 diploma in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing.

 

 

 

This may also act as a refresher course those who have been out of education for a while or returners to the hair & beauty industry.

• Presenting a professional image in a salon

• Plaiting and twisting hair

There are no formal entry requirements to enrol on the course however you will need to attend and informal interview with the course tutor.

Assessment is through observation, written assignments and oral questions.

On completion of the Level 1 award, you can progress to the level 1 or 2 diploma in Beauty Therapy or Hairdressing.

 

 

For students aged 16-18 who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in Maths or English, these subjects will be included in your timetable along with your main course. Improving your skills in Maths and English is essential, as these qualifications open doors to further study and career opportunities.

Our teaching team will work with you to help you achieve the grades you need, building confidence in these key areas to support your future success.

All 16-18 students must study maths and/or English as part of their main study programme, there is no option to study maths and/or English on its own.
