WHY WORK WITH US?
Are you a forward-thinking business? Tyne Coast College has created a new and exciting vision for education and training in the North East. We collaborate with businesses to teach industry-relevant skills and build strong workforces of the future.
By working with us, we can create a responsive curriculum that will inspire and influence students to understand working practices and what employers look for. Students will be able to develop their talent, discover their future and understand what opportunities lie ahead.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Not only will you be helping talented students develop their skills, you could discover future workforces or career paths through industry-related activities, work placements and training opportunities. Collaborating with us also gives you the opportunity to address what your industry needs, is looking for, and allows us to identify and tackle issues of inequality, social exclusion, deprivation, underperformance and underrepresentation within the community. As well as discovering future talent, you’ll be able to expand your network through events and discussions by meeting other businesses and teachers
With all of these great benefits combined, you’ll also be featured in our marketing, PR and news releases, giving your business the exposure and promotion it deserves.
Don't just take our word for it...
Morpeth Town FC
Morpeth Town AFC and TyneMet are giving 16-19-year-olds the best of both worlds. A three-year scheme will kick-off in September for around 60 students to learn a hands-on profession through college, alongside developing their football skills at the Premier Division club that play within the Northern Premier League.
EDF Renewables
EDF Renewables has taken on eight apprentices from all over the UK for a three-year course to become Wind Turbine Technicians. They’ll start their new roles as Wind Turbine Technicians by spending a year and a half at TyneMet College, before learning the practical elements of the job at a number of EDF sites across the UK.
