ABOUT NORTH EAST SPORTS ACADEMY
Want to develop your sports skills and athletic ability? Pursue your future as well as your interests, confidence, independence and experience with NESA. The programme offers the very best in sports education to TyneMet students of all abilities – no matter which course you’re studying or at which campus. Fitted in around your course and timetable, you’ll train, learn and progress in your desired sport with dedicated coaches, who bring you first-class, professional and personalised sports programmes in our state-of-the-art facilities and fully-equipped workout areas.
As a student at TyneMet, you can automatically join NESA and enhance your university application or employability by:
- Completing nationally recognised qualifications and awards
- Taking part in regional and national competitions
- Accessing work placement opportunities
- Accessing our leadership and volunteering academy
Not only have we been recognised by TASS, we’re also a TASS Dual Career Accredited Centre – committed to supporting talented athletes, while they’re also in full-time education, to create a TASS dual career.
