In her two years of study with us, she achieved incredible success with the team including…

- Selected for the England colleges squad
- 4 cup titles
- Selected for England U18 squad
Here’s what she says about here time at college:
My time at college were the best years of my life. I was surrounded by brilliant staff, coaches, and peers. I would absolutely recommend people to study at TyneMet. The college gave me opportunities I could not have got elsewhere. Playing football and travelling to places like New York and Barcelona were life changing experiences. The college also supported me with my education brilliantly, ensuring I maintained a balance with my sport and learning. Without the support I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
After leaving college, Katie’s football journey didn’t stop there, she went on to study a sport degree at Northumbria University before becoming a player for Newcastle United Women’s team. During her time at the club, she has carved her name in history as the first female goal scorer at St James’ Park. This season the team also won their league and promoted to the third tier of women’s football with Katie scoring the goal that secured their promotion.
